What is an Elgrand key?

The smart key allows you to keep the key in your pocket when unlocking and starting the Nissan Elgrand. The key is identified via a proximity sensor in the car door and a radio pulse generator in the key housing as soon as the driver is within approximately 1.5 metres of the vehicle. To unlock you need to be within 1.5 meters and then push the button on the handle. When you sit inside the car you can simply turn the ignition with the need to insert a key into the ignition.
